A deliberately simple setup

This is a static website. It has no user accounts, contact form, analytics, advertising, social media plugins, external web fonts, embedded media or profiling. The website itself does not use optional cookies or tracking technologies.

Choosing the language

When you open the root address of this website, a small script reads the language list provided by your browser locally and redirects you to the English or German version. The language value is not stored, sent to a separate service or used to create a profile.

The normal HTTP request may include browser information such as the Accept-Language header. This can be processed by the hosting provider as part of the technical access data described below. The legal basis for the language selection is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in showing you the appropriate language version.

STRATO states that IP addresses used for attack detection are stored for up to seven days; storage periods for other technical logs depend on the hosting package and the operational need.

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide, including your email address, name, message, attachments and correspondence metadata, to respond to your request and handle any follow-up.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps. In other cases, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Email service providers involved in delivery may process the data as technically necessary.

We delete the correspondence when the request has been resolved unless a longer retention period is required by law or is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Statutory retention duties remain unaffected.
